NEW MEMBERS:
MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION AND COURSE FEES,
ENTRY TO FIRST COURSES
All
new members pay $50.00 with their
Application Form.
This
fee covers the club subscription for the first year of membership.
(See
the rules covering subscriptions at: http://www.seniornet-hbc.org.nz/docs/membersfees.htm
)
It
also covers the cost of their first course, whatever they take.
The
only variation of this is for members transferring
from other SeniorNet clubs.
Members
transferring pay no subscription fee
for the current year if their membership of the club they come from has been verified.
Members
transferring pay full fees for any
courses and/or workshops they wish to take.
Eligibility for Courses:
During
the Induction Course the question of whether a new member should be exempted
from the Introduction to Computers course will be considered.
Exemption
from the WP2 course requires consideration by a sub-committee of the Chairman
and Deputy Chairman.
New
members may, when they have completed the Induction course, enrol in Workshops,
but should be careful to select those that do not require skills that they have
not yet acquired. They would then complete a workshop application form and pay
the additional fees.
